"I have been painting around the North Shore and Vancouver since 1995, captivated by the raw power and natural beauty of the West Coast.

My beginnings as a landscape painter have evolved into a deeper exploration of the abstractions and thought provoking contrasts in nature.

My work continues to evolve and I increasingly am driven to capture visually flickering and passing moments of fractured light, line and color. I use a hands on interactive approach in my work, using layers of paint, palette knife, varied strokes, dripping, scratching, mesh and plaster-like textures.

Then finally, balancing the results of some accidental manipulations with other careful and conscious moments in painting. I call it "going for a ride" with the creative second.

I wish my work to express, a vibrant, captivating enchantment and movement that I marvel at in nature everyday."
